Painting holidays with tuition by Rodney and catering and assistance from his wife, Eleri are offered for small groups of up to 4. These are based at their beautifully renovated stone mountain house  in the Ariege, in a  tranquil hamlet 800m above sea level. Situated  beneath a castle built by Charlemagne, it looks  towards the soaring 3000m peaks on the Spanish  border. This is unspoilt France at its most unspoilt.

The cost is £650 per person based on a group of four, with two people sharing a room (flights and insurance not included).
